We wondered how we would feel about the food, but it was probably the best yet - and that's really saying something here.
We've realised too that one of their cheapest bottles of restaurant wine isn't actually €23, but is on special offer at €15 a bottle which, for a restaurant is pretty good.
There was also free ouzo on tap for guests - help yourself time - and neither of us could recall having had ouzo to drink before.
With that in mind, Elizabeth poured us each a generous tumbler full and off we went to start eating. Soon after that the problems started! Elizabeth took a sniff at her drink and realised it was her food hell - it was an aniseed-based drink. But that's my food heaven, so it must be a Marmite-type product - you either love it or loathe it.
Why the problem? Well, I now had the equivalent of 2.5 tumblers full of spirit/liqueur strength drinks to drink plus my share of the bottle of red we'd just received at our table.
Well, the night was young. We still had the quiz to get through before the main show began, so there was probably enough time both to get drunk and then to sober up again.
The quiz was not our finest hour - "Find the missing lyric". We scored a miserable 13 out of 20 and, once again, we were well beaten by a team on the other side of the Pooh Bear which sounded like a team of 6 rather than a team of two - and no, I'm not a sore loser!
We were told hat the entertainment for the evening would be from a Greek folklore troupe. We were apprehensive, remembering the Russian folklore troupe who had bored us to tears one night when we were overnighting in St Petersburg on our Baltic cruise in 2011.
Well, we were wrong to be concerned as they were great entertainment. There was Thomas with his bouzouki who was a fantastic player....
.... and then the Rhodian Ballet troupe came on and they were very good too.
Then they asked for people to come up and dance with them. Well, by now, Elizabeth had had a few, so we were getting to that stage in the evening where anything goes, just about, and she was straightaway up on the dance floor (I said I'd do the video!)
But she wasn't content with one dance and insisted on doing a second ....
After that she was a bit fagged out, so while she was recovering at our table I did a bit more blogging .....
