Day 2 - Morning

We both slept well and had a leisurely get up with breakfast available from 7am to 10.00am.

Room with a view (chargeable extra!)
Breakfast was excellent - at least as good as on cruises, but have you ever had whole honeycombs available then?!

After breakfast we had a stroll across the road to the sister complex.  Our status here allows us to use some of their facilities and they have an upstairs bar and pool which really are out of this world!  Will take some pics eventually and post them here.

Then it was time for the welcome meeting.  Three Thomson/TUI hostesses who were very organised and very professional and who gave us a good outline of the possibilities here.

Who sis this woman who keeps getting in the picture?
There seems to be a good range of entertainment on offer - quizzes and 3 walks a week around the local area (free of charge) and there is evening entertainment every night from outsiders brought in as well as locals.  Tonight is a tribute to the Jersey Boys, so we'll be looking to book our places.  They have a very cosy outside venue with stage and seating.  Any extras we have here are charged as on a cruise ship and we settle up at the end.

After all that exertion it was time to come back to our pad.  No sooner had we come in and switched the lights on in the hall than hey promptly went off - our first power cut (and that means no wifi and no blog updating but we are back on now).  Elizabeth wondered if the Germans had switched off the power to poor old Greece!

She then had a swim in the pool along the front of our room while I raided the mini bar so that we get the most out of our complimentary "starter pack" - which was a bottle of sparkling, a bottle of red wine, a beer each plus some soft drinks in cans.
