Holiday on Rhodes - Summer 2015
Keeping you up to date with our holiday on Rhodes (18 July to 1 August 2015)
Sunday 2 August 2015
Final Night's Entertainment - Beatles Tribute Band
Our last evening saw us richly entertained by the Abbey Roaders, a Beatles tribute band who clearly knew what they were about.
Saturday 1 August 2015
The Atlantica Imperial Residences
This sister development to where we're staying was built from scratch during the winter of 2014-2015. They worked 24/7 for the 5 months when hotels here are closed because the weather gets too cold and rainy (beginning of November to the end of March).
It isn't full yet, but soon will be. There are some truly stunning rooms here and we had a good nosey round one morning after breakfast.
Breakfast is in the Blue Sky Restaurant which doubles up as an a la carte restaurant in the evening and it also has the Sky Bar.
There's an indoor pool and a gym - sorry, no pics of the gym!
You can see where we have breakfast (on the lower level)
To support the weight of water in the various pools above ....
Sorry you can't see the water sliding down he wall ....
How about this for an unsupported canopy!
View from the top ....
The best rooms - top right.
Outdoor Venetian blinds - and they turn ....
These are rooms with a view - all rooms have a sea view ....

And yes, we did go in the sea ....
Clearly a German who created this work of art, as in English it's Rhodes and in (arabicised) Greek it's Rodos.
And here's confirmation that Elizabeth wasn't on a singles holiday after all!
